About Ruth


Just Insights offers strategy, research and evaluation services to purpose-driven organisations. We work with partners to define their organisational vision of social justice, explore strategies to bring that vision to life, and examine the systemic impact of their work.

Our Services


Ruth Wainwright

Prior to founding Just Insights, Ruth worked as an economic consultant, with experience spanning the public and private sectors, including roles at the Ministry of Justice and the Financial Conduct Authority. She has delivered evaluation and impact work for organisations in the arts, community development, microfinance, and international development.

From 2019 to 2024, Ruth founded and ran The Feminist Bookshop in Brighton, a vibrant local hub for feminist literature, dialogue and community engagement. She also co-founded and directed Brighton Book Festival in 2022 and 2023, and currently serves on the Impact Advisory Board at the University of Sussex.

Ruth holds a BA in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the University of Oxford and an MSc in Economics at the London School of Economics.
